Open Door’s Dr. Murray Honored as Doctor of Distinction

Dr. Karen M. Murray, obstetrician-gynecologist and Senior Medical Site Director of the Ossining Open Door Family Medical Center, has been named the recipient of the Caring for All Award.

Westfair Communications, publisher of Westchester and Fairfield County Business Journals, presents the award as part of its Doctors of Distinction awards program. The awards recognize compassionate care, celebrating extraordinary health care providers who go above and beyond to provide top quality care and service to patients in Westchester and Fairfield counties

For nearly eight years, Dr. Murray has led Open Door’s clinical staff in Ossining, joining the federally qualified health center in 2011. “Dr. Murray has dedicated her entire career to working with underserved families, addressing the social determinants of health and having impact on health disparities in our community,” said Lindsay Farrell, President and CEO of Open Door. “We are so very fortunate that she is a member of the Open Door family.
