Events
Some of Open Door’s most critical services, including Patient Advocacy, Wellness and Behavioral Health Care Integration, are not covered or reimbursed. The Open Door Foundation hosts annual events to raise awareness and greatly needed funds to support these life-improving and, often, life-saving programs for our patients. The revenue is invested in these cost-effective programs, which vastly improve health outcomes and foster thriving communities.

StarPower keynote speaker, Linda Kaplan Thaler, inspired guests to empower others by harnessing their own passion and perseverance. and PowerHouse honoree Shirley Acevedo Buontempo received the Changemaker Award for her transformative work with first generation Latino college students.
On October 21, 2016 we held our annual Fall Fest at Brae Burn Country Club in Purchase. A standing room only crowd raised their paddle to support quality health care as a right for everyone and not a privilege reserved for those who can afford it. Together, we kicked off our shoes, line danced, and honored Kate and Alan Sanzenbacher, Barbara and Tom Cleveland, and June Keenan for their leadership and advocacy on behalf of community health care.
