Executive Staff Bios:
Lindsay C. Farrell, MBA, FACMPE, President and CEO
Ms. Farrell has dedicated her professional life to high-quality community-based care, efficient care delivery, and population health management to assure a more equitable health care system for us all. Home-grown at Open Door where she originally served as a volunteer, Ms. Farrell has also served as Open Door’s Director of Operations and Director of Development.
During Ms. Farrell’s tenure as President and CEO, Open Door has grown significantly and doubled the number of people served. Today, Open Door is accredited by the Joint Commission, recognized by the National Committee on Quality Assurance as a Patient-Centered Medical Home and has won the prestigious national Davies Award from HIMSS, the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society.
Ms. Farrell is a member of the Board of Directors of MVP Health Plan in Schenectady, the Community Health Care Association of New York State, THINC, the Taconic Health Information Network and Community and the Health Center Controlled Network of New York. She is also a past Chair of the Westchester Women’s Agenda.
Ms. Farrell is a graduate of St. Lawrence University and received her Master’s in Business Administration from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University. She is a Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives. She has received the Sol Feinstein Community Service Award from St. Lawrence University, the Betsy Cooke Grassroots Advocacy Award from the National Association of Community Health Centers, and been named as one of Westchester County’s most influential residents by Westchester Magazine.
Daren Wu, MD, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Wu is the senior clinical leader at Open Door and oversees the quality of clinical care and service delivery at all sites. Dr. Wu directs the recruitment and review of physicians and allied healthcare workers and interfaces with affiliated hospitals.
Prior to his appointment as Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Wu was the Medical Director of Open Door’s Family Health Practice at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco and a staff physician at Open Door’s Rye Brook site. Currently, he is a Family Medicine Preceptor for students from New York Medical College in Valhalla and Columbia Presbyterian College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is a founding faculty member of the Northwell Health Phelps Hospital Family Residency program, based in Open Door’s Sleepy Hollow facility.
Dr. Wu is a graduate of SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine and received his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University in New York City. He completed his internship and residency in the Columbia Presbyterian Hospital of New York. He is a Board Certified Family Practice Physician who is proficient in Spanish and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
Naida Henriquez, DMD, Chief Dental Officer
Dr. Henriquez is a senior clinical leader and Director of Dental Services at all of Open Door Family Medical Center and School-Based Health Center sites. She has been an integral leader of New York Medical College and Site Director of GPR Dental Residency Program from its inception as an Instructor of Dental Medicine and Clinical Assistant Professor of Dental Medicine.
Currently, she is the Site Director of NYMC/Phelps/Northwell Health, and Open Door clinical training sites at Port Chester, Brewster and Sleepy Hollow. She continues to provide effective leadership, support and clinically guided learning experiences to the dental residents, preceptors and staff.
Dr. Henriquez is a graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA, and received her BA from Herbert H. Lehman, CUNY.
Shonny Capodilupo, LCSW, Senior Director of Behavioral Health
Ms. Capodilupo leads Open Door’s Behavioral Health Programs and is responsible for advancing the integrated care model for behavioral and physical health. She has served as adjunct faculty at both the Post Master’s Certificate Program in Child and Family Therapy at New York University – Silver School of Social Work as well as Fordham University’s Post-Master’s Certificate Program in Child and Adolescent Therapy.
Ms. Capodilupo serves on Westchester County’s Coordinated Children’s Services Initiative (CCSI), Zero To Three Committee, Integrated Service Planning Committee 0-6 years and the New York State Early Childhood Advisory Council.
Maria Mazzotta, CPA, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Mazzotta leads Open Door’s Finance, Accounting, and Billing departments. Prior to joining Open Door, Ms. Mazzotta worked at Jeffrey T. Latman and Co. as an auditor. She received her Bachelor of Science in accounting from St. John’s University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Andrea Beltran Ruggiero, MPA, Executive Vice President of Community Health
Ms. Ruggiero oversees Open Door’s comprehensive enabling services, including HIV Care, Case Management, Clinical Nutrition and Wellness Programs. She helped to develop and maintain formal linkages with community partners and services to complement client needs and assures the availability of all necessary assistance for Open Door’s most in-need clients. Born in Ecuador, Ms. Ruggiero began her career at Open Door as an HIV Case Manager in 2004, providing crisis intervention and case management services to vulnerable populations.
Ms. Ruggiero graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Manhattanville College and received her Master’s in Public Administration from the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences at Pace University with a focus on Nonprofit Management. In 2014, she received a Certificate in Business Excellence from the Columbia Business School and completed the Geiger Gibson Capstone Fellowship in Community Health Policy and Leadership.
Maryam Motabar, DDS, Vice President of Practice Administration
Ms. Motabar oversees the Practice Administration of all Open Door main sites in Medicine, Dentistry, and Call Center. A foreign-trained Dentist from Iran, Ms. Motabar used her previous experience in general dentistry at both a private practice and community health center to flourish at Open Door. Her first leadership role as dental supervisor led to her future roles of Practice Administrator, Senior Director of Practice Administration and Call Center, and her most current role as Vice President of Practice Administration. She ensures widespread access to care by working with all members of the care team. Ms. Motabar leads a team that is dedicated to providing the foundations of quality care Open Door stands for.
