ANITA SUCHDEO
Anita Suchdeo is a co-founder of Two Merlin Design Studio, providing a multitude of design services at every step of the home improvement process. What started with personal home renovations led to helping friends with their projects and organically grew into a design business. Prior to this, she worked for Ernst & Young and then startup Scient Corporation as a technology strategy consultant, as well as for Morgan Stanley as an interest rate derivatives trader. After traveling around the country as a consultant, crunching numbers on Wall Street as a trader, and staying home with three young boys, Suchdeo came “home” to design. Her involvement with Open Door started as a committee member and ultimately co-chair of fundraising events, starting as a House Tour volunteer in 2013. Having been touched by chronic illness in her own family members growing up, she saw firsthand that patient care doesn’t start and stop in the doctor’s office. She wants to spread the good word that the gold standard of health care is being set at Open Door, including wellness and patient advocacy services for everyone in the community. Suchdeo graduated from Duke University with a major in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Economics, studied math at Stanford University, and has a Masters degree in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University. When not hiking or skiing with her three active boys, Anita likes to read anything and cook for friends and family.
