Establishing Our Ossining Open Door Community Health Campus
The Need
165 Main Street
This former department store built in the late 19th century and retrofitted to suit our full scope of care serves 14,000 patients a year. The building was last renovated more than two decades ago when we served fewer than half the number of patients we do today. Our exam rooms are often used for multiple purposes, leading to inefficiencies, delays, and disjointed patient flow.
2 Church Street
This building directly across the street houses our administrative offices and wellness center. With its rectangular configuration and adjacent parking lot, we are currently not utilizing this building to its fullest extent for patient care.
Our Plans
2 Church Street
This location will become the hub of our medical care, behavioral health care, and telehealth services with:
- Standardized medical exam rooms.
- Telehealth stations and tech-enabled meeting rooms for private discussions with patients.
- Consultation rooms for interdisciplinary collaboration within care teams
165 Main Street
This historic building will accommodate our ancillary services, including:
- A larger dental department, including a new dental residency program, allowing us to provide a greater range of dental services to more patients.
- Expanded podiatry and optometry services.
- Wellness and large group meeting space for nutrition counseling, WIC, cancer support groups, prenatal education classes, and digital literacy support.
