Mantengase Informando: A Presentation for Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. On Wednesday, March 13, 2024, Open Door partnered with Cancer Support Team, Cancer Services Program of the Hudson Valley, and Family Services of Westchester to present “Mantengase Informado” (“Stay Informed”) at Ossining Open Door.

This free seminar, which was presented in Spanish, addressed the importance of understanding the signs and symptoms of colorectal cancer. Participants also learned about lifestyle choices to help lower the risks for colorectal cancer and were encouraged to speak to their primary doctors about screenings.

Attendees actively participated and had their questions answered, received helpful resources, and enjoyed a healthy meal from Karma Lounge, courtesy of Cancer Support Team.
